    Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only with yourself.

    I am *still* struggling to learn how long things take, to leave heaps of extra time and to leave time in-between things!

    I especially need extra time when trying to get to a new place for a job interview!

    And I can't just run straight from one demanding thing to another all day for days... downtime is actually essential for me to function succesfully!

    Money doesn't grow on trees & if you don't plan out where your money's going, it's going to go everywhere & nowhere at the same time.

    When my wife's complaining about something, only talking about makes her feel better, not me telling her what to I think she should do to solve the problem.

    Relationships are the most important investment you can make in life, because your car or house won't miss you when you're gone.

    Your talent and skills can take you almost anywhere in life,but your character is what will keep you there or remove you.

    Never buy a car to impress people at a stop light you don't know and probably will never see again.

    It's easier to gain weight then to lose it.

    Marriage is a lot of work and no one is prepared for how hard it can be. It can also be the most rewarding thing in the world.

    CC Debt is evil and should be avoided at all costs.

    No one ever realizes how much work being a parent is. At the same time, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

    A good balance between career and family/fun is essential. Most people don't wish for more time at work when looking back.

    Sometimes good things happen to bad people and very bad things happen to good people. There is no rhyme or reason.

    And the most important thing.... Life is NOT fair and never will be. Deal with the hand you were dealt.
