Hi everyone. I was just hoping someone might take a look at my food diary for me. I've been having minimal success losing weight (and I mean basically NONE or gaining) for a year now.
3 years ago I lost about 35lbs by eating 1200-1400 cal/day and running or swimming 5x/week. I kept it off alright by maintaining a calorie daily average of about 1500 until I moved across the country and got a desk job. I piled on 10lbs again pretty easily
Now I'm working out 5x a week again (yoga, running, weights, spinning) and at the suggestion of several wise MFPers I've calculated my TDEE (1800 cal/day) and I've been aiming to eat above my BMR (1450) to try to coax my body out of it's apparent metabolic slumber. I've been at this for over 3 weeks with no apparent success and my measurements haven't changed.
I just could use some feedback. Like someone saying "well of course, you fool! You're eating X and it's bad"!
Or really just any encouraging words would be good

Protein is way way low.
Set MFP to Protein and fat 30% each.
Be sure you eat that 1800 cals+ daily depending on your caloric burn for the day.
It's important!
To break your plateau, eat at TDEE for 2 weeks to regulate leptin.
1800 TDEE seems very low.
How tall are you and how much do you weigh?
Whats your Body Fat%?0 -

BMR 1473
TDEE 2284
Thats using basic formula without Body Fat factored in.
I tried everything from 25-40 and its only 100 cal difference.
Take a break and eat at 2200 for a week or so and reset your metabolism.0 -
Thanks I'll give it a go0
