So I've lost 9lb and it looks weird

Hi I am 26 5,4 and now weigh around 130 from a starting weight of around 140, so I was within the "normal" range. I wanted to shape up and improve my eating as I ate so much junk food and to control my portions. I have lost this weight and want to lose maybe another 5-10 lbs but currently I look weird. My hips are jutting out at the front, but then behind I have fat around my hips, whereas before I just looked curvy but smooth. Should I persevere and the rest will go? I am getting muscle tone in my upper legs that I haven't ever had and my arms no longer horrify me, its just my *kitten* and hips that currently look odd! Any one else going through this or is it just my body changing?

add some muscle to pick up the "sag" from the shape change. Try some squats and deadlifts to help shape your body.0

I would just suggest you go on with what ur doing ~
I guess the body doesn't change in one go, it takes time and so you just have to go on0 -
start lifting heavier and your body will change in the process. just takes time.0

dont focus too much on this, its just shape and distribution. just continue with exercise and a bit of toning resistant work, keep healthy and it will ballance out.
our shape is sort of set it wont change. it just appears smaller or bigger.
do cardio and resistance and you'll find it firms up. lower back extensions and reverse curls is what i did with a client with a similar problem, she lost a few inches in the end!0 -
It seems you have wide hips? Something similar happened to me (I have wide hips). It's just your body changing, with even a 9 lb weight loss it's going to change and you're going to look and feel different than you're used to. Your body will continue to change as you go, it's just something that you get used to along the way. Yes, you should continue (if that's what you want) because it will even out eventually (at least it did for me) :flowerforyou:0

I agree with this^^.
Lifting heavy does good things for a woman's body, and it will not make you bulky. Eating as clean as possible, with a good amount of healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado) can also help improve your body composition.0 -
There's also an old saying that says never target your problem areas. I believe in this one...work out evenly and your body will grow and change to adapt. Believe me sister...still working on this one myself, but as I keep up with the full body workouts I see not only my legs and shoulders getting more toned, but slowly that damn spare tire is shrinking. Consistency and diligence!!0

I'm sorry but, you will have to send me plenty of pictures so I can fully evaluate your situation.
Sorry, I'm just kidding. Congratulations! I wouldn't know from experience but looking good probably takes time to get used to.0
