Hello,
I've seen alot of mentions of 30DS, can anyone give me a bit of info on it before I go buy it.
I'm 5,6" lost 15.5 lbs so far and currently weigh 181lbs. I usually exercise 4 times a week and it's usually aerobics (body attack) or tredmill/crosstrainer ... would the dvd be good for me?
My hubby is coming to the end of a uni course and has to put a huge amount of study in over the next 3-4 weeks so I won't be able to get out to the gym much at all and so looking for something to do at home which will keep me motivated....
Any help is appreciated,
Happy Friday

The shred is excellent. There are 3 segments that take 28 mins from start to finish. I found level 1 to be boring. Level 2 & 3 kick butt. It's hard no doubt. I like it for times I only have 30 mins to work out. I don't burn enough calories on it (I have a HRM). Don't expect miracle weight loss, more toning. I haven't done the level's combined but should. I prefer Bob Harper's 60 min DVD's for a really tough workout and high calorie burn.
A few things I don't care for..... there is a lot of get on the floor do the moves then the next move is standing. The up down up down is difficult for me, I have bad knees. And the jumping jacks.. OMG Jillian loves jumping jacks. Again with my knees I normally do another cardio move at that time. She does keep your heart rate high but there is a lot of jumping!
30DS is good, and definitely worth the $10 bucks or less that it sells for. Good Luck!0 -
collagevideo.com has reviews (both professional & amateur) and video clips of hundreds of workouts.
This workout is too high impact for me (50+ years old, with 1 tweaky knee) but many people like it. I am a fan of Kelly Coffey Meyers 30 Minutes to Fitness DVDs ... but that's just a matter of personal preference.
I'm sure you can find clips of this on youtube, that will allow you to test drive it for a bit.
Big Lots was selling this DVD for $5 earlier in the year. So it should be really cheap.0 -
Thanks, Amazon is selling for £5 at the moment so might be worth just going for it...will have a look on youtube first off. I have a wii fit and dont use it all that often, I was just wondering if it might be the same sort of thing.
Thanks again0
