Buying a new scale. Recommendations?

So, after yet another SHOCKINGLY horrible weigh in on the wii fit board I've decided its a piece of crap for weighing in on.

I've never bought a scale in my life. What kind do you recommend? I don't want to sound cheap but while I want accuracy, price is totally a consideration.

    Amost any scales will be fine.

    My recommendations:
    * Digital
    * Flat top. Allows you to put a plate or any container on top. Don't get one with a jug or a bowl.
    * Can switch between grams and ounces with one key press.
    * Has a 'tare' (add&weigh) function. Very useful!
    * Capacity at least 3 kg.
    * Accurate to 1 gram.
    * Slim enough to fit in a kitchen drawer

    A budget of $25 is more than enough. Scales aren't just good for dieting, they're also good for more accurate baking of cakes and desserts.

    Well I love my Tanita scale, but it's pricey. However it is accurate and I have had it for over five years. (I think I paid about $80 for it) Otherwise any basic scale should be fine. I'd expect to pay around 25 at least for a decent one though. My mother has a cheap one and it can bounce between a five pound range... not cool when trying to lose weight.

    I just bought a new scale from walmart yesterday it was 35 but it has a progress bar so every time you weigh in you see your progess (It automatically updates your bmi and total lbs lost) I like it =)

    Lol I was so confused reading this

    I use WiThings. It syncs wireless to the WiThings site and gives you lovely graphs like this http://www.withings.com/en/utils/graph?userid=651716&publickey=3c866225e9bfe5a8&massUnit=lb&forcedisplay=fm

    Not sure how accurate it is with body fat, but you can't be 100% with anything technology gives you.

    Don't buy a scale. Go by your clothes and how you feel.
