    I love peanut butter but have gone to PB2 its only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons and not the 190 claories for peanut butter. And it good. I eat apples with my. It also comes in chocolate.

  • I eat peanut butter on slices of apple, you get the sweet/sour taste and the crisp crunchiness from the apple. It is delicious!

    I've been really hungry right before bed. My evening snack of a popsicle or piece of candy isn't cutting it plus I probably shouldn't be eating sweets every night anyway. I thought peanut butter may be a good evening snack that would keep me filled up. I'm trying to watch my carbs also, especially in the evening so don't want to make a sandwich. Other than celery, how else do you eat peanut butter.

    I'm not opposed to just eating spoonfuls but me sitting in front of the tv with a spoon and jar of peanut butter is dangerous!

    Almond, cashew or macadamia nut butters would be much better than peanut butter.

    Peanuts are one of the most inflammatory foods we can consume.

    Anyway, I like different nut butters with celery, carrots, apple and pear slices.

    Lately I've been making Peanut Butter Banana Smoothies for after my workout

    I melt it slightly and then roll pieces of banana in it. I top it off with chopped almonds (they stick to the peanut butter). I eat it with a fork. Feels like a special dessert ;)

    I don't know if you'd be up to making this every night, but peanut butter makes an awesome filling for grilled jalapenos. Cut jalapeno at the top, core & deseed/remove membrane, poke hole in bottom with toothpick, salt lightly, pack in peanut butter, put on chile grill (or support upright with aluminum foil) and roast on grill/in oven.

    ONe more: add a tablespoon to hot chocolate. Liquid Reese's right there. (And if you want to make a healthier cocoa buy the unsweetened powder, add it to your favorite milk/milk substitute. Add a little vanilla, your favorite sweetener and mix thoroughly. (Or buy a minimally processed hot chocolate mix where you add milk.) It is about a 100 calorie treat without peanut butter with almond milk. 200 calories with a bit of peanut butter. You could reduce the cals with a sugar free sweetener. And the real cocoa powder has iron and fiber.

    This I have got to try!!

    I have mine in my porridge in the morning, in my after workout smoothies,on oatcakes, with apples and on it's own!!

    Everything!! My favorite before bed snack is apples and peanut butter because it is still sweet.... but I go through jars of peanut butter. I keep a jar at work...

    bananas, apples, carrots, baby carrots, celery, pear (with almond butter), sometimes i just have a tablespoon as a snack. I put it on a plate so that i dont eat more than i intended. This morning for breakfast I had 2 oranges and a spoonful of peanut butter. Not together, just part of the same meal.
