Personally, I did videos. I have a collection, also had On Demand tv - they have free workouts. And there are some good workouts in magazines - you can check most of them out online too. Womens Health and Fitness have on-line versions and you can check out the fitness routines. That and walking/jogging. There's tons of things you can do without having to use a gym!0

I go to the gym, swim, Wii Fit, walk and I am taking a belly dancing class.
I am eying up the punching bag that my husband just bought and got My Fitness Coach for the Wii for Mothers day. Now that it's warmer I'm going to be on my bike too
Basically...anything that gets my butt moving, I want to do it0 -
I use the gym... but want to get to the point where I don't need. I'm just afraid of injuring myself at this point (have some weak areas) so I am learning as much as I can while I've got it.
I started out walking on the treadmill on 2.0 (considered a leisurely walk, felt fast to me!) and now jog on the treadmill. I also do elliptical. You can walk without the gym, add some hills if you can, keep your heart rate up. 30 mins/3x a week is all you need.
You also need to build muscle in order to have your body burn fat and not muscle. Again, stuff you can do at home. If you have weights, use 'em, if you don't, use things around the house - a filled water bottle, etc.
STRETCH every day, 3x/day. Do yoga, it will give you some moves (start with beginning yoga). It will also show you areas that need to be stretched out in your particular body by how it feels when you're doing it.
And, of course, watching what you eat, burning more than you take in, make sure you get enough protein and good fats so that you can build some muscle on a calorie deficit.0 -
I use to be on WW and I would go to the gym 4-5 days a week for 60+ min a day. I would start off with 30 min elliptical, chaning the resistance every 5-10 min. then do weights and then do treadmill for 45 min. changing the resistance and even jogging every 10 min.... that helped me a lot.0

I have a program called Yourself Fitness for the X-box that is really good. They have made an updated version for the Wii (my fitness Coach). It incorporates cardio and toning exercises and I like it better than a standard workout video as it isn't the same everytime you do it and you can choose different music, background locations and even the intesisty of the workout. I also have yoga DVDs and a few others that I do in addition to that.
The most important thing is to find something that you can stick to.0
