Chaffing when running?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the boards here but I've got a question! Whenever I run I'm constantly chaffing where my thighs rub together... I usually wear a pair of biking shorts under my running shorts and that used to prevent it but now they've gotten a bit big on me so as I run, they ride up and I'm constantly pulling them back down. I've tried lotion, vaseline, even putting bandaids there but they all rub right off! I'm a pretty broke college student and don't really have the money to go buy new, better fitting shorts right now and I HATE running in pants! So much that if I wear pants while running, I lose all motivation before I even really start! lol Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks!! :)

You can get a sports stick for that at your sports store:)

You could pin or sew your shorts on the outside of the thigh to keep them tighter

I've given up running in shorts - can't find any way to avoid this. I wear capri length running tights. Very comfy and no chafing.

Glide...it is a product sold at sports stores for chafffing...looks like a deodorant, rub it on places that rub...it really helps. ALso try A&D ointment on raw places, it helps to heal.

Most running stores/sports stores would have a glide stick just for that. I doubt is would cost more than 10$

Put deoderant where your legs run together. Very similar to glide, less costly.

I never run in shorts, though. I like running capris or just leggings that I roll up to my knee! xD

nylon cycling shorts work great, not the ones with padding just regular

The glide stick is definitely a good idea. Also, you don't need cycling shorts. Compression shorts are virtually the same thing and I've found them for $10-$15 each. I don't run without them. Check out Amazon and such.
