Have you tried sugar free chewing gum? When I feel like that I drink lots of water. If I am still wanting something I chew a piece of gum. Seems to help me. I have realized I am just used to eating just bc I can and put of boredom.

Diet soda, nothing wrong with it. The carbonation might be something that would interest you.

Sugar free boiled lollies. They last a long time and leave a sweet taste in your mouth. Also I input my food for the day in the morning so that I know exactly what I can have for the day and I know if I succumb and eat something I will go over my calories for the day. For me, preparation is the key.

thanks for the tips i will try the more water i drink the more i have this taste of wanting something in my mouth.......when i want to eat healthy and when i start exercising, this is all i think, all i think about is food, food food....but when i dont do nothing and i dont care i dont think about it as much....its this something you all have problems with as well or am i just crazy?
  • Drink water!

If that doesn't work, chew gum. I used to do that and it worked, but I had to stop because of TMJ disorders so I turned to water :)

I know how you feel though, I don't think there is anything wrong with you!
  • You know what are awesome for cravings like that? Ice chips. Calorie free and surprisingly satisfying with their crunchiness... plus they help you get more water into your system!

Its normal to think about food a lot when your dieting.

Gum, sugar free hard candies, and diet coke are all great tips that others shared.

I personally know exactly what your going threw. You just gotta keep busy honestly. Pick up a book. Draw somthing. Run arons, do chores.Plan dinner out, and prep all the ingredients. Just keep your brain/body occupied and then after about an hour the feeling should go away.

Hunger is a strange thing. It comes and goes in waves.
