I've read and heard a lot about this book (and accompanying meditation CD) ... I am of two minds about it...
My rational brain says: You're fat because you eat too much it's as simple as that. Stop eating so much and it will go away. Food addict, compulsive over-eater ... blah, blah ... that's just rationalization.
My emotional brain says: The fact that you know that and are still, after all these years, fat must mean there's more to it than just "I like to eat food."
Obviously, this book appeals to the emotional brain, that part that says I must be self-sabotaging for a reason ... has anyone had any success with the book and/or CD? Or even any experience? Is it too New Age-y for even MFP people?
Please share any thoughts/critiques/wisdom learned from it.
Thanks!
P.S. Please don't yell about the food addict rationalization thing ... I know that's not very PC. My brain can be very un-PC sometimes. :-)
