Hey, I plan on going grocery shopping tomorrow and was thinking of picking up some kind of protein shake/ meal replacement. I've looked at them before as a way to keep my appetite down and get more protein for work outs but a lot of the ones I looked at had medicinal ingredients and a ton of additives.

I'm basically looking for information on:
-advice on a brand to try
-pure whey protein vs. powdered meals
-ways to prepare/take them ( I'm thinking mornings and/or after workouts)

I have to use soy shakes. I usually use the powder mixes and add fruit and veggies. Adding grapes or oranges with spinach or other green veggies helps me get my nutrition in.

just get a tub of whey protein.

also when you take it is irrelevant. just make sure you get enough protein by the end of the day. don't really have any special ways to make it. i guess sometimes i will throw some crystal lite into a shake one and a while.. but i drink them so fast i don't really think much of.

brand. i just get the cheapest.

Gaspari Myofusion tastes the best - try their chocolate.
