Hello all. Just wanted to share my success with Team Beachbody's Power 90. I committed for 90 days and brought it each time I pushed play. I lost a total of 43 lbs. Went from 30% bodyfat down to 19%. I'm very happy with my results and I hope to inspire and help others out there who need it. Now it's time for P90X!!

I've never heard of Power 90. Is it really intense and crazy? I don't want to do anything extraordinaire nor extreme in my journey, I want to do things that I can continue to do for the rest of my life. Ya know, like yardwork, walking, biking, bowling and stuff like that. I do like Leslie Sansone Videos--as they are very doable and enjoyable for me...is it kinda like that or is it really pumped up?
Sounds really interesting and i'm so glad you've posted and are so proud of you too--you rock sir!0 -

You look great! You have inspired me to dust off my old P90 videos. I did it a couple of years ago but fell off the wagon. I'm determined that this time I'm going to get healthy and have been walking a ton on a new treadmill I got but I did enjoy doing P90 and am going to start that up again to get some strength training in.I've never heard of Power 90. P90 isn't crazy (like P90X looks crazy...to me lol). My memory of it is this: You do one day of basic strength training things like push ups, squats, lunges, arm exercises with resistance bands or dumbells etc. Then the next day you do cardio which is hopping, jumping jacks, running in place and things like that. You can easily work your way up if it is too hard to keep up with them at first. Just do what you can. Oh and then there is crunches where you do 10 different kinds, but again you can just work your way up. You just alternate those two routines 6 days a week and they take from 30 to 45 minutes. Once you get good at it, there is a second level which adds a few more exercises in and ups the intensity a bit. And I love Tony Horton .0 -
Thanks you all for the kind comments. Normally I don't get too many responses through MFP. If you're planning to start P90, make sure you're with a very support beachbody group. Their support will help you last til the end. Stick to the program and nutrition is 90% of your success. Good luck to you and add me as your friend if you'd like. I'm really inspired by others who are trying their best to end the trend.

P90 is everything that ssdivot mentioned. It could be hard for some who are just starting but you can go at your own pace. If the video seems to go a little too fast. Pause the video until you complete your reps. It will get you stronger if you keep trying your best everytime you push play.0 -
Wow good job! I started p90x but stopped after a couple of weeks. I liked it but the workouts are sooo long lol. I want a workout to be like 30 min. Maybe I'll give it another go.0

Thanks Lesleyis! You should give it another shot! I wish you plenty of success.0

Good job, Joe! I did P90X a couple of times as well as Chalean Extreme. Then I started Insanity and suffered a back injury about a week into the program. I used that as an excuse to stop working out, and here I am, 30 lbs. heavier, three years later.
All of the Beachbody programs are quite challenging, so I commend you on finishing Power 90 and having such great results. It really does take a lot of hard work. Kudos, man!

Thanks Aaron! I did P90X 3 years ago and had great success. But my military career in the Navy ended when I was at Week 8. Needless to say I was crushed. Without the discipline from the military, I ended up letting myself go and thought I'd never make my way back. I was just going to accept the state I was in. One day something sparked up my motivation and I held on to it. But I wouldn't of been able to do it on my own without my beachbody team. You'll get back up there man! Those 3 programs are pretty intense!! You did once, and you sure as heck can do it again! I wish you plenty of success Aaron!!

Your story and testimony inspired me so much...What I'm doing to do is tweak it a bit and add it in to my regular daily exercising routines of the treadmill, full body stationary bike, stepper, ab chair and outside walking. So, it will probably take me longer to finish the 90 days. I can hardly wait to get it. THANK YOU--you rock sir!
SO very Sorry for the multiple posts...made a mistake a posted something else here on this thread instead:blushing:0 -
