ok so i started working out again 3 months ago i have managed to rebuild my fitness up quite well from what it was i started out just doing 15 mins i can now quite easily do 45 or more but lately and i don;t know why about half way through my workout i've been getting a stitch in my side.

i never eat before a workout and if i do i wait about 2 hours after eating but usually do my workout after i drop kids to school and before my breakfast, i watch my breathing carefully (i think i do) so not sure why the last week i'm having this problem

any ideas??

My PT said it's blood rushing to the muscle and that causes discomfort, whilst I don't know 100% if this is true his cure works... Say you have a stitch in your right rib, he told me to pump my left hand (hand into a fist, release, repeat) this moves the blood away from the stitch - takes a few seconds to work but can do it as you run/walk and it works :)

    Hope it helps you x
