Hello,

I had a gum graft done last week and as a result have been on a liquid diet ever since. My current diet consists of Ensure and smoothies. I get the stitches out tomorrow and can start introducing soft food into my diet, but it will be a month before I can really eat solid food again. Does anyone have any recipies that could help give me some variety. I have a feeling scrambled eggs, baked/mashed potatoes, and pasta is going to get old after awhile.

Thanks

I just had Weight 'Watchers Smart Ones' (frozen) chicken enchilada suiza, it was yummy, but pretty mushy!

If you have a Safeway nearby, their prepackaged Deli Soups are really good (broth based only unless your on a mission to eat 30 grams+ of fat in a single serving of soup) I'll add extra veggies and rice sometimes. They're pretty good.

Also, when I first got braces a couple years ago, I supplemented my diet with V8 juice. Good way to get your veggies and it's surprisingly filling. I'd do the 12 oz cans, not the puny 6 oz.

I guess this is more liquid based still, but they may give you some variety.

OMG...I didn't even think of V8. That's a great idea because I'm tired of things that are sweet and milky. Plus it will give me a serving of veggies. Thanks for the tip.
