So I'm taking ymmum to a Gourmet Burger Restaurant tonight - the menu can be found here - http://www.wolfesburgers.co.uk/food-menu.php
They offer the chance to change your burger bun for a side salad
Now i've tried to reduce my calories every day for the last few weeks, to give myself a few spare for tonight
Am wondering if it would be better to have a single 6oz burger, with bun and toppings, or a 12oz burger with toppings, no bun
their burger buns are all white, which i'm trying to avoid
The OLD me would have had chicken strips starter, 12oz burger, with bun, loads of toppings, AND chips, then a dessert AND massive hot chocolate and cream
surely going from the above, to just one course is a defeat in itself (trying to give myself a different perspective)

Hi there,
First of all, congrats on the super progress you have made so far!!!
I ate out at a gourmet burger place last weekend, and still managed to stay on track. I went over my daily calorie amount by about 150, but for me, that's still a good day. Here's what I ate: big juicy burger, with bun (although I was able to have whole wheat), onion rings, and sweet potato fries. BUT... I only ate half the burger, 4 onion rings, and about 18 to 20 fries. I also had a beer with that. I felt totally full and also very happy that I only ate half the burger.
And... it didn't ruin my week!0 -
Why is the choice 6oz with bun or 12oz without? 12oz is A LOT of meat! Wouldn't you feel satisfied by a 6oz without the bun?0

I looked at your diary and every day you are under your calorie goal, so have a good time, have whatever you want, you have the wiggle room in your weekly allowance.0

Last time I went, they had a *special* on - was 3 x 6ox burgers, with bun, LOADS of toppings and chips - looked massive but thats like a hell of a lot of meat0 -

6 oz. is a LOT of beef. When I make hamburgers at home, I use 4 ounces of ground beef and it's more than plenty. I'd get the 6 ounce burger without the bun and a side salad.0
