Question about Macros...

Ok. If a gram of Carbs or Protein has 4 calories, and a gram of fat has 9... how can I have only 230 calories left in a day, but am 81g short of my macros? Getting them would require 334 calories... I have them set at 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat. I'm not that concerned, just wondering if I'm calculating something wrong o if I have empty calories somewhere. Talking about yesterday, I believe my diary is open.

Well, you won't find any processed food on earth that is purely composed by the main 3 nutrients. Extra chemical stuff is necessary that carries its load of calories :)

I had a piece of ham lunchmeat with breakfast... then added sodium to my home... eak! But it's probably the butter and vinegar and things like that... I guess, things that only contain one of the macros.

OP, I asked much the same question to Tech Support & they explained that your Fibre & Sugars are part of your carb calculation & therefore affect the total.

If a gram of ALL fats had only 9 calories then a serving of oil, which has 9g fat would only have 81 calories. But it does not, it has 120 calories. All food is not created equal :) Those are averages.
