I have always had a problem with eating healthy and dieting? I workout pretty often and do not seem to be achieving my goal and would like to know if my eating is playing a major role in it?

You should eat healthy. At best all you will do is maintain your current state. Probably, you will stop exercising and get to a point where you really regret your decision.

It can be fun and new to eat healthy. When you get a taste you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Then, it'll just be normal!

Well diet is about 80% of how you'll end up looking. You can be fit and fat.

  • It plays a huge role in it, never mind the benefits of weight loss and maintenance but HEALTH benefits in the long term. I urge you to consider applying yourself and welcome a healthy balanced diet into your life.

    Best of Luck !

Improbable, unless you're extremely genetically lucky.

Don't treat healthy eating as an all-or-nothing proposition. I still haven't managed to cut soda/fast food out of my diet completely, but I've reduced it a lot and I'm losing weight.

thanks a lot for the response. I really hate cooking and is one of the reasons that I do not eat healthy. I am going to try to do better

I love the saying "Abs are made in the kitchen," LOL!

I started working out HARD and OFTEN last spring in my quest to lose some weight. I went so far as to train for a half marathon -- and I ran two, one in January 2012 and another in February! I didn't lose a single pound. In fact, I gained a few (traded a little fat for muscle, but not much).

It has been a slow journey, but cleaning up my diet and lifting heavy is finally making the fat budge. I try to stay motivated by watching a lot of movies about clean eating. Have you heard about this one? Looks really good: http://www.hungryforchange.tv/

I lost about 20lbs just watching calories and exercising. However, I did go out to eat a lot and did not eat very healthy usually. although I reached my goal weight, I felt that healthy eating would help me get rid of some of the fat (esp lovehandles). Everyone is different, but of course healthy is the way to go...but remember to not deprive yourself. You can always have things in moderation :)

One cannot out-exercise a bad diet.
