The right shoe for you depends entirely on your foot and running stride. I recommend going to a local running store and having them do an evaluation on you. I went three different places and all three of them told me the exact same thing and recommended the same or similar shoes, so I was confident in the choice that I made. And as I tried on each shoe I was able to run in them as much as I wanted to see how they felt, so I was able to walk out of the store already knowing how they were going to feel when I took 'em out.

As I was trying shoes on, I was told that when I have the shoe on it shouldn't feel like there is anything that I need to get used to. That as soon as I put on the shoe, it should feel at that moment how I want it to always feel. And that I sholdn't feel the shoe touching my feet in any random spots along the top or side since they would eventually become rub points.

Basically a dozen different replies could tell you a dozen different "best" shoes. But the only way to know what's best for you is to go and actually find out. It's amazing the difference a good pair of shoes makes, so I definitely recommend doing it.

    ^^^This

Many running shops will also give you 30 days to bring the shoes back, even if you've worn them, if they don't feel right.
