The problem is that I love soda too much. And I live in a house setting where I can't choose my meals. It's either eat what they make, or go hungry. I also am addicted to Coke and caffeine in general.

I'm "new" to the whole exercise thing. Anyone wanna try to be my buddy, and we can do this together??

I'm 20 years old.

  • I hope I can help.. When I was at your age, I was really over weight. Working on a desk job doesn't help. I buy out all the time and east fast food almost everyday. If I could turn back time, I would. I think I lost 5 years there...

Now, I'm 26, almost back on track, I stop drinking soda for almost 2 months now. Maybe had 1 fast food for 2 months as well.. My point is, don't waste your youth on being over weight.. You can do more if you're not and enjoy life and confident as ever be..

Buy your own healthy food. Drink plenty of water and just stop drinking Soda.. I'm sure this isn't simple but the results are really worth it at the end.

    Hopefully this helps..

I have a similar problem with soda as well. Luckily for me I can am the head of house and we don't ever really have soda on hand for the reason that if it's there I will drink it. One thing that does help me curb the soda desire is I get 0 calorie water flavors such as propel. They come in the single packets for a 20 oz bottle of water. That mostly satisfies my want for a sweet drink. The caffeine however, is a different story. I've been there too and for me it simply took a lot of will power which it sounds like will be more difficult for you given the situation. But, trust me it's worth it. might I suggest that you make a goal of 1 can of soda a day and really push yourself to that. It will help you be more cautious of what and when you're drinking.
