Oh Fitness friends, it's happened!
I had hoped that all my hard work the past month and a half would have lead me away from my bad habits.
Oh but I was mistaken!
Yesterday being St. Patty's Day, there was tons of yummy foods and drinks. I enjoyed my fair share of beers & attempted to keep them at a reasonable limit. (Or so I thought!) But at the end of the night, I convinced my husband to buy us some chicken wings; later at home, I devoured a few unfrosted cupcakes. Today I had almost no fruits or veggies and ate a few frosted cupcakes.
Does anyone out there have any words of encouragement to get over these few hiccups? I still have such a longer journey toward my fitness goals and I don't want to give up.

Yup. It happens. It's cause you are, you know, human. Log what you ate as best you can, and then proceed. Every day the calorie counter resets, it's a whole new day. Don't beat yourself up! I do it on purpose sometimes because this isn't a "diet", it's a new lifestyle. And that's part of life.
Go easy on yourself and you'll have a lot more endurance.0 -
Don't turn a slip-up into a give-up.
No damage has been done to your hard work. I doubt you consumed enough extra calories to even equal 1lb gain in adipose tissue (although the sodium might give you a couple more lbs in fluid retention for a few days). Just pick back up tomorrow and carry on. :drinker:0 -
Oh-well...the only thing that will make you give up is you letting yourself give up. You just have to QUICKY forgive yourself and consider it a minor set back.0
