LOL! That last post made me jump! Set up a short term goal, we are in spring and it is a fabulous time to sign up for some neat activities. Join a walking or running group and get ready for some 5 k or 10 k races. If that doesn't appeal to you try a new activity. Join a softball team or try a series of dance classes/ martail arts/hiking/try a tri/syncronized swimming/fencing.... the list goes on. Look up what is new in your community and give it a go, better yet, take a friend. Sometimes something new is needed to stay motivated.

I find it hard too sometimes! I was in a HUGE apathetic slump about a montH ago, and needed some help to break out of it! Same thing, I wasn't gaining, butwasn't losing and felt like this was all a waste of time. One thing that someone said to me was her personal motto which I have now taken on: "The only thing between me and the body I want is the bul$hit story that I keep telling myself"

This was so true! I was in a slump, wanted to quit, but she made me realize was that I needed to Tell myself that I COULD do it like so many others, I just needed to stop second guessing myself AND JUST DO what I knew I could! I WAS telling myself bull$hit stories that were keeping me from doing what I needed-JUST EXCUSES!!! I kept saying to myself that I didn't have the time, the motivation etc. but knowing how I could look in 3 months working at it vs. 3 months NOT working at it would make me so much happier. I didn't want to make the realization for yet another summer in a matronly bathing suit with a skirt attached to hide my gross belly that had I just stuck with it then, I wouldn't be wearing that suit. I will no longer be wearing that suit. I had a cute guy today walk by me in the grocery store and say, "hi pretty lady, how are you today?" I said, "outstanding!" it wasn't until a few minutes later that I realized that someone attractive and male said that I was pretty! Had I sat on that couch and given up when I was struggling, I would not have had my self esteem renewed this morning! Me? Pretty? I used to be, and evidently on my way back there! So STICK WITH IT!!! Let me know if you need some help!

Find a workout buddy or just someone to go walking with - a friend, family member, co-worker.. anyone! Having someone else around with similar goals helps you to hold yourself accountable and stick with your goals. I agree with previous comments - join a new class, try a new sport, etc! Change up your routine and get a little bit out of your comfort zone, you may surprise yourself!

Feel free to add me if you need a little extra motivation, too! :)
