I've been on MFP since late last year, but my weight was staying pretty much the same because I wasn't exercising or sticking close enough to my net calorie goal of 1200 per day.

Janaury 1st I made two resolutions: go back to being vegan (I've been vegetarian for a long time) and burn all the calories I eat to net out to 1200 or less.

Since I made those resolutions, I've lost nearly 16lbs. - the weight comes off at a rate of less than 2lbs. per week, and that's okay with me. I've been overweight since I got married (and pregnant 10 days later) in 1999. I'm now three pounds away from being the smallest I've been since having my second child in 2000. MFP is the only thing that's ever worked for me beyond the first 10lbs. - it's the only thing I've stuck with for long enough, and I'm happy to wake up each day and step on the scale. It doesn't always go down, but overall, the trend is downward.

Happy to be here!

Congrats! It is not an easy thing to accomplish. 16 pounds is great. Just keep going.
