So I gave myself until Christmas to lose 100 pounds. I started in the middle of January so that gives me just under a year. I've lost 25 so far, tomorrow I weigh myself so hopefully more like 27.

So that's like 2 months. So basically 12.5 pounds a month so far.

For whatever reason, I feel like I'm in a race though, and I keep thinking that i'd rather find a way to lose much quicker, but it's also about my health, not just being skinny.

Even though I'm losing weight and inches, for whatever reason lately, I look at my stomach and just think F&*^ go away. NOWW

It's getting depressing and with that I'm losing my appetite. I seriously look at myself get disgusted and just don't want to eat.

Anyone ever feel this way?

You've done great so far! 25 pounds is awesome! It takes time, and I know you want it all gone now, but sadly it doesn't happen that way. Just please stick in there and continue to take the healthy road of eating to lose weight. If you don't eat, you will stall your weight loss. I have learned this go round to be patient, when I see the after pictures of other members and see that it took them a year or even longer to get in shape, I can say,"that's what I want, to look so healthy, that I can't believe I ever carried that extra weight." It takes time, but to do it right and for the last time, it will be worth it.

I am probably the most impatient person I know! Like you, I want my fat stomach gone NOW! However, I saw this saying and have made it my new motto..."slow and steady wins the race!" In the past, I have always lost weight quickly only to regain it (plus more.) Now I realize that losing 1 to 2 pounds a week is the way to go and am making small weight loss goals instead of one big one. Unfortunately, I have never had the problem of losing my appetite...but you will work through it...it just takes time!

BTW...25 pounds lost since mid-January is fantastic!!

I have such a long journey ahead (about 18 months at 2 pounds per week to get to my goal weight) that i simply can't look that far ahead.

I have a couple of goals, including a big visit with my friends for 4th of July and i set targets for those milestones. But beyond that, it is just too depressing to think about.

So instead i am just trying to focus on eating clean and healthy food and making it my preference - my lifestyle - and keeping myself active to get fitter. Just one day at a time. Sometimes one meal or even one mouthful at a time!

But then again, i only started in January myself. I have not proven to myself that i have what it takes to stick with my lofty words!

In any case, good luck to you. Just keep doing what you're doing as you are having great results!!

So how did you lose the weight? 'Cause that is a great loss! What was (is) your daily routine?
