My friend has just found out that she is expecting  and wants to make sure that she doesn't put on as much weight as she did last time.

Can anyone help please, by advising how many calories she should be looking at ie to eat whilst pregnant, so to try to avoid any excess weight gain?

Many thanks in advance

Hi there. Well I am pregnant (Will be 23 weeks on Friday).

I used the first trimester to sort of ease into "maintenance" calories and set it up on here for that. I would eat at least 1500 and add more when I exercised. Now that I am further along, I have my calories set at 1800 and eat more when I exercise. I have gained about 13 lbs total so far and am almost 6 months..so I GUESS that's good. I am gaining enough but not going crazy.

And I make sure to eat a ton of nutritious foods too. That is key!

She may want to talk to her doctor though. Each person is different. :flowerforyou:

Can I ask what kind of exercises you are doing?
