Gotta Do This!

Good morning everyone!

I'm brand new to this website, though not brand new to the "I gotta lose weight" concept. My goal is to get down to 175 (at least to start) for the most obvious reason- health. I'm expecting my 1st grandchild in June (I still can't believe I'm going to be a grandma at such a young age!) LOL

I'm also looking to up the factor on my self-esteem (at an all-time low as we speak.) I've even skipped family functions because of the embarassment I felt for having "let myself go" for so long. I need to turn that back around because I know somewhere deep inside I'm worthy of being happy.

I hope you great folks can give me the support I'll need along this journey. And maybe I can help you, too. :)

    You have to do this for yourself, and nothing will make you feel better than working hard and seeing the results. Feel free to add me if you like.

    Of course you are worthy of being happy, we all are. This is a great place to start. Just started myself got around 56lbs to lose. So let the journey begin! We can and will do it. :)
  • Our stories are similar...I am one week into this, and I find it fun! It puts the focus on entering and finding foods that are good for you and takes the focus off of the word "diet". That is a four letter word...You are makeing a lifestyle change!! Not on a diet. If you want to be friends I am kimmer_1963, Good luck!!

    Thank you everyone! I'm still trying to figure out the website- I've already got 2 friend requests- awesome! I HAVE to be successful this time, and I know with this website and the support I'm seeing, I know I can do it- just one day at a time. :)
