I have NEVER done Yoga before, and I have been thinking about incorporating this into my weekly routine. Has anyone done this particular DVD, or is anyone doing it now? I am starting Level 2 of the 30DS today -having done 26 days of Level 1. I was thinking I wanted to do yoga or pilates 2-3 days a week in additon to the 30DS. Any thoughts/feedback?

I love her Yoga video. It isn't all new agey. She makes you sweat and it's her typical style.

It´s definately not a yoga workout that will make you want to lie down and go to sleep! It´s a great workout and if you like shred then I think you´ll enjoy this too. I started to do it before I had my hysterectomy, but at the minute all exercise apart from walking is on hold, can´t wait to get back to it though and the shred again but have to be patient! Have fun :flowerforyou:

Hi. I'd never done yoga before, but started with Bob Harper's weight loss yoga. Loved it so much I went and bought the Bob Harper yoga warrior dvd, too (along with his pure burn, pure strength). Love them all, but especially the Yoga ones. Although I'm still having a hard time with some of the poses in the Yoga Warrior because I don't ever see myself being a complete pretzel or being able to balance on one leg with the other pulled up against my head. lol. I haven't checked out Jillian's DVDs yet, but that is next on my list! Good luck!

I love yoga and pilates, and also like Jililan Michaels and am currently doing her 6 Week 6 Pack. However I DO NOT like this DVD! It's too workout-y...I like yoga to be relaxing and yet with challenging stretches. For Pilates I do Jennifer Kries' The Method on DVD, I've gotten amazing results!

Other than misnaming several poses, and poor form on her part, it's a pretty decent yoga video. It's more of the power yoga vein, but will be awesome for slimming. I haven't done it, but I own it. I just started taking classes, so I haven't needed a yoga video to work with to strengthen, I just practice what I learn from class for that!

Love JM's Yoga Meltdown, it's not boring at all and it challenges you without you feeling like you're going to die. It's a nice warm up before doing the 30 DS, how I used to do my morning workout. Or great from helping you relax at the end of a crazy stress full day.

I love this DVD. It's my current favourite. I've been practicing yoga for a while, and although I enjoy other Jillian DVDs, I didn't think I'd like a Jillian Michaels yoga DVD. I was wrong. It's definitely not a traditional yoga workout, but I really enjoy it. I get a pretty good calorie burn out of it and it also leaves me with that great post-yoga feeling.

^^^ Yep. I Love (or hate, it's a fine line) Jillian. I have 4 or 5 of her videos and am on round 2 of 30DS. I don't like yoga meltdown though. I don't feel that there is enough guidance on breathing which is something that I need. It is also not exactly what I think of as yoga. I think it probably comes down to personal preference. Maybe you could try it out via netflix or something similar.

I think it will do the trick for you... but I would recommend taking a class with a certified instructor maybe once a week for a bit. Yoga is great but you can hurt yourself if you aren't careful. That said, as long as you take it easy with Jillian and don't push yourself too hard into the poses, you'll be fine!
