First off, Hello everyone! I have a question. If MFP says I am only supposed to eat 1310 calories a day, but I burn about 812 a day. Should I increase my intake of calories and if yes, what sorts of things should I eat? Thanks for your help and time. Feel free to add me.

yes - you should eat the exercise calories back (if they are accurate) if you want to maintain the defict you selected when you entered your details on MFP.

are you sure you burn 812 calories a day for exercise? thats alot! make sure if you are eatin g back your calories you use a heart rate monitor to get the accurate number. 812 calories would be like 3-4 hours exercise!0

It does seem like a lot. I typically don't burn that much. Since it is spring break I'm pushing myself more. I walk to times a day for 60 minutes. Once in the morning once at night. So two hours a day I am working out .0

even MFP says 2 hours walking is only 295 calories. I strongly recommend you get a HRM. I used mine for a walk once and was surp;rised at just how little it burned up, I wouldn't even log walking.
Have a look and find out what your maintenance calories are. You will be surprised - for me for instance my maintenance is only 1500 calories so I only have 300 calories betweent hat and the 1200 I would be on if I was trying to lose.
Thats only a sandwich extra so you have to be so careful about eating ONLY what you actually log. Don't think that nibble here or there doens't count it all adds up;!0 -

Thanks so much. It says I burn 406 calories an hour walking at a speed of 3.5. I also weigh 235lbs. After reading the two articles above I am going to only exercise for 60min a day and eat those calories back. Thanks for you help ladies. I was really confused on what I should be doing0 -
Hi Katey..
you should always eat back the calories that your burned! you never want to fall under your minimum calories you eat. it will put your body into starvation mode and it will be a lot harder to lose the weight.0
