12 years of weight tracking

Ok, I admit I'm a statistics geek. I love graphs and data so here is my excel spreadsheet of weight from May 2000 to the present.

:D I love this. If I had done the same thing, our graphs would be nearly identical.

So why the sudden change from 2005-2007?

What motivated you, or made you decide to really start losing weight at that time?

Or were you trying to for the entire decade?

Congratulations though, you had impressive results and seem to be maintaining them.

    :)

Perfect proof that there is no beginning, middle and end. This is an ongoing journey for the rest of our lives! Thanks for the graphics. I am a very visual person and this nailed it on the head!!

In 2005 I realized something was wrong in my marriage but I didn't know what and got no feedback from my then wife. I thought I had let myself go physically after getting married and that if I got back into shape it would help. As it turned out that wasn't the problem and we separated in October 2006 (after being married 15 years). The divorce was finalized in 2008 and I am now happily remarried. In retrospect it was not a good reason to get in shape but it turned out for the best and now I do it for myself. I've felt much better and younger in my 40s without the weight than I did in my 30's.

thanks for sharing your chart, i knew i wasnt the only one lol....

i'm a charts and spreadsheet girl myself so i thought i'd share mine too....the last weight i remember being is for sure is 210lbs in april 2000 right after i met my husband.....i started working on getting the new me in place after i had my daughter in january 2008....the biggest changes to my weight have obviously been since then when i started at 253.8lbs....i'm pushing very hard to get out of the 170s right now (have been here since july of last year) - lowest has been 172 and i keep bouncing back up into the low 180s the last few months....i needdddddd to keep pushing on and get into the 160s and eventually to my ultimate goal of maintaining between 140 and 150....when i get to the 160s i'll decide if i'm gonna still push onto the 140-150 goal...each new decade gives me more of an appreciation of where i've come from and how far i have left to go....
