Weight Snobs

I have been cruising around the boards for awhile now, reading various different posts on this subject or that topic.
Some are great and others not so much.
One thing I am noticing on a lot of threads....so many of the members seem to act so snobbish, if you will and sometimes downright rude...I really notice it in the thinner, or more fit people. What gives?!
Sometimes I see it in the heftier ones if they have a significant weight loss under their belt.
Is this something that is going to effect me if I lose more weight? Like some sort of plague?
I would hope not.
I think that as I lose weight and get to a more fit me....that I will still remember my struggles, hardships, and even the triumphs that I have/had. That way, I can better help others who are going through it.
I mean, why should I hold myself on some pedestal above anyone else because I may see myself as more fit or because I have lost more weight etc....its like some kind of reverse anger towards overweight people....like they couldn't be angry at themselves but its ok to treat others that way, or they are so afraid of gaining weight that they take out their frustrations on others. So strange and disturbing. But that is kinda how society is...
Anyway, I just wanted to vent this. Thanks for listening.
