Is this unrealistic?

I haven't seen a change on the scale in 4 weeks. I haven't eaten the way I should and I haven't exercised as much as I should. I just lost my Grandpa and that contributed to my lack of enthusiasm. I'm ready to gear back up and do what it takes to lose more weight. I currently weigh 190 and I'm hoping to see 185 by Easter or a little more but 185 is my main goal. Does this seem realistic? I bought a dress to wear on Easter and while it fits it would be great if it fit a little better.

5 lbs in 3 weeks? Definitely not unrealistic...you'll have to be very diligent and bust your @$$ but definitely possible. Good luck! Sorry about your grandpa...I know all too well how rough that can be.

Sounds very do-able and sensible. Goals like new clothes work for me. Sorry to hear about your loss, glad that you're staring to feel more positive. Good luck.

So sorry for your loss :flowerforyou:

As the others said, it's not unrealistic. Just got to kick your rear in gear. Clothes and little rewards work for me. My reward for hitting 50lbs lost is a Victoria's Secret Pink line Yoga set. (the shorter pants and jacket)

Nope, you can definitely do that if you stick to your goals! No starving yourself, just follow the calorie goals from MFP!!

That's very sad! :( my condolences, I've lost both my grandfathers and it is not an easy thing.

As for your weight loss goal, sure it's possible! Go to settings and set your weight loss needs to 2lbs a week and you'll be down in no time! Just eat right and get in some cardio and you'll be all set. Good luck! :D

First take a deep breath...okay a mom with 2 kids running an in home daycare with a grandfather who just passed away? And you haven't lost weight why? Just kidding I am sorry for your loss; and it is difficult being a mom for 2 and a temporary mom for others. Do what you can make sensible change each day/week/month and I think you will find it pays dividends. Good luck I hope your dress fits like you want it to.

Thanks! I'm going to try really hard this time and I hope I don't have another lull period where I lose some of my commitment.

I'm so sorry about your grandpa. :( I think 5 lbs is possible. Eat clean, exercise, and measure or take pictures. Sometimes the scale is very unforgiving, but you are making progress.
