These extra pounds I'm carrying around are driving me crazy. I always say I'm going to start doing something about it but it never happens. Maybe this web site will help. I just have to do something now before it's too late. My boyfriend just got back from basic training and AIT in the Army and I'd love to get him to turn his head my way like he used to. If any one has some advice, or a list of great low carb meal ideas or snacks I'd love to hear em. Thanks ~Jess

  • you can do this- trust me I have started!! I don't think that low carb is the way to go. what I'm doing is just everything in moderation and I've lost 14 pounds in the last 3 weeks!! Try going off the food pyramid it's amazing how full you are if you eat all of your fruits and veggies everyday!! Good luck remember we're here for you!!
  • I'm new here I don't know anything about diet but I wish you all the best =)
  • If you're really serious about this try Dr. Hyman's "The Ultrasimple Diet". It's a great way to detox and rid yourself of cravings while losing weight. Best of luck.
  • HEY JESS!
I've tried everything on the market including meridia and with that I lost 72lbs in 14months. It was great while it lasted as soon as I stopped taking it I gained the weight I'd lost + an extra 12lbs. For the last 3 years I've done the yo-yo thing, lose 20 gain 3 to 4 extra.
I am now doing what friends and family have told me to try for years and I ignored them, making a life change and counting my calorie intake. Well its working in 22 days I've lost 6lbs, I realize that doesn't sound to promising when you want the weight off now. I've also learned some patients during this time and have come to realize everything takes time. I know it will take me some time to lose the weight I've gained but I really feel I will be able to keep it off. So hang in there and good things come to those who grow a little patients and learn new things. good luck to you

How very right she is. We have become a society who demands instant results. Instant results will happen with a consequence. Calorie intake will get you there slowly but will get you there in the long run. Watch what you eat and exercise..it's that simple.
