Quorn/Morningstar and others...

I love the Quorn CHik'n patties, and trust me, I am a carnivore who loves pulled pork and giant real burgers, etc. But those patties are really good and taste a lot like chicken to me. But I would like to get some more of these vegan taste-alike items in my cart. Does anyone recommend any other vegan foods that taste very much like the real thing (chicken, beef etc)? I have already tried the morningstar fake breakfast sausage patties and those are really good. But not many others. Seems in recent years they have gotten much better at getting the taste close to the real thing.

Honestly, if you aren't vegan/vegetarian, just eat the actual meat versions. These products are concictions of over processed, over-salted ingredients. I'm by no means a "clean eater" and try not to get soap boxy about stuff, but the ingredients list and sodium levels on those products scare even me away.

If you like chicken, and can eat chicken, just buy chicken instead of chicken flavored patties. It's cheaper, tastier and healthier in the long run. *shrug*

I like the Amy's vegetarian/vegan meals etc. They are all organic so it doesn't have any of the bad stuff that the morningstar farms might have. I also really love the Gardenburger portabella mushroom "burger" patties. They are super good. They also have a vegan one. Look for organic meatless products and you won't get any of the nasty stuff.
