I'm "allergic" to fruit and veggies. Easiest way to put it, I have OAS (Oral Allergy Syndrome). When I was in middle school my mouth started to get aggravated when I ate high acidic foods. My mom always thought I was trying to get out of eating my fruits and veggies until I hit high school and told her if she wants to take me to the ER then I'll eat them. Anyway, I went to the doctor because my throat would close up when I ate pineapple and my lips felt like someone had punched me in the face when I ate carrots or apples, even salads affected me. My doctor told me I wasn't the only one and the best thing for me to do to stay healthy and get my vitamins in is to cook my fruits and vegetables, well I thought this sounded NASTY! I always liked warm broccoli and cauliflower so that was okay but I probably couldn't even name 10 fruits off the top of my head...I hated fruit, but to cook them? Maybe apples...like apple pie? I now buy pre-sliced apples in bags because they have been somewhat "processed". I was on vacation in the Dominican Republic and the first hour of our trip I ate a fresh pineapple, well worst decision ever made. Two bites and I was chugging down sprite because water doesn't seem to help. I now have an epi-pen just in case I have another fruit or veggie attack, lol.

Is anyone out there on MFP like me?!

This makes my weight loss journey difficult, I see all these amazing recipes for smoothies and once I make them I can have about 2 sips and I'm done. Does anyone have any recipes where fruit is present but not the main part of the meal? I'd love to hear any advice you have, or if you know anyone else like me, please share their healthy treats. :)

Hope all journeys are going well, MFP friends!

I am allergic to what I deem everything: Any fruit with a seed except grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, tree nuts
Fortunately, i am able to eat veggies. You can make stir fry. It's both halthy and filling
