Diet plans that work

I love eating and counting calories is hard for me. I am working on portion control and listening to my body about when i am full.

What are some diet plans out there that anyone has personally tried that worked for them. I feel variety is good and sometimes i can enjoy the same thing over and over for weeks (i.e. salads and oatmeal). Also tips on healthy ways to adjust our stomach to the right portion sizes. Thank you.
