Baby steps... it seems overwhelming when you look at how far you have to go, but just take it in small steps and you'll get there.
You don't have to change everything at once - maybe try some smaller goals, like working on a healthy breakfast one week, lunch next week, snacks after that... etc.
And get into the hang of logging your meals, even if they aren't the best choices every day, just writing them down makes you more conscious of what you're eating and whether it's a good choice or not.
  • Great advice Ruby Belle. Also, you might start thinking about exercises that fit your lifestyle. There are a thousand options for working out at home that include everything from 10 minutes to 90 minutes at a time. I have been doing Tae Bo for 10 years now and I love it. The workouts range from 25 -90 minutes so I can always choose based on the amount of time I have that day.
Take it slow and decide what works for you. Many libraries carry a selection of workout DVD's that you can try for 2 weeks at a time. Weight training can also add up quickly in terms of strength. Lean muscle burns more calories! Sounds like you are on the right track and are ready to make a change. Congratulations! You can do it!
