So I started off May of last year. I have lost 100lbs so far. but I have hit a plateau. I have not shed a pound in over 3 weeks. Its driving me insane. Just to give a snap shot of my daily routine. I hit the Gym around 5-530 everymorning Monday through Friday. I do 45 mins of free weights 3 days a week, 30 mins on tread mill and 45-1hour doing laps in the pool. The days I dont do free weight I still continue to do the cardio stuff.

I have changed my whole eating habit 2 protein shakes a day. I watch my portions, and calories. Everything has been going great. I am just not sure what to do now that I have hit this peak.Anyone with any suggestions?

Whenever I hit a plateau, I GIVE UP!
It is never going to work, it is not working, I am doing it wrong, etc. etc.
    GIVE UP!

    BUT......very important.......
I REFUSE to QUIT! And that is very different from giving up...

I may stop believing, get sucked in by a Taco Bell commercial, dream about double cheeseburgers, etc., and totally give up on MFP, but I WILL NOT QUIT. I just keep trudging along the road and keep in mind that if I quit, I lose. I may be telling myself that it's a waste of time, not working, etc.... but I am just not going to quit.

We need a lot more information than that. What are your calorie goals? Have you changed them as your weight has come off? What sort of food are you eating? What is your weight loss goal per week? How much weight do you have left to lose?

Better yet, open your food log so we can see it. At this point all I can suggest is take measurements if you have not already to see if you are losing inches even if the pounds are not coming off.

MY calorie goals are according to the site 2660 plus my cardio deficit. I eat healthy. Grilled chicken, lots of fruit and vegatables. I take one day week off and eat out. but still nothing crazy. I drink gallon and half a water a day. I acutally eat around 2200-2500 calories right now depending on what I actually eat for dinner. I eat 5-6 times a day. I have been told that I need to up my caloric intake but this system has served me for almost a year now. Hope that answers some questions. I will open up my food log but I have not logged anything in it for a while becuase I have had the same basic diet for a long while now. I seen no need to keep logging the same daily meals.

Try changing the routine up. I am in the midst of a plateau as well. I have added in a HIIT routine 3 days a week in the hopes that it will help. Good luck.
