Thoughts About HRM Calorie Counting

I've been using an HRM to monitor my HR and my calorie burn during workouts. I'm a bit worried that it's over counting calorie burn. I've put in all the correct information about weight, age, sex, etc. I just feel like I'm burning way more calories than I should. Anyone have suggestions or concerns like mine? It would make sense that my calorie burn would be high considering my weight, but I think it might be too high...which can cause all kinds of problems if I'm over-calculating...
Thanks!
