tips to boost your metabolism

Options
A nurse practitioner gave me these tips:
1- Drink a glass of ice water immediately upon rising in the morning
2-Eat breakfast, which includes some protein within 30 minute of waking up
3-Try to finish eating dinner by 6 or 7, and then eat nothing else that evening.
4-Eat a small snack, including some protein, mid morning and mid afternoon.

These tips are boosting my metabolism! Hope they are helpful to you as well!!

    Oh boy...

It seems your nurse practitioner friend is more about propagating myths then actually giving good information

I appreciate that you're posting in an effort to help people. That's very kind of you.

Unfortunately though, none of the above methods will actually boost your metabolism nor are they necessary.

    He's the man!
    LOL
I have acutally found myself watching him lately because he's on TV when I get home but I sure don't buy into much of what he says.

Joy, thank you for sharing but I think you have some misinformation.

    ^^^^this.

They aren't necessarily bad ideas (well except for the no food after 6 or 7), but I doubt they will make any significant difference on your metabolism.
