I don't understand "cheat days"

Exactly. It's not necessarily about getting to eat something you normally deprive yourself of. It's about not having to log every last little calorie. It's about going out to dinner and just eating and not having to wonder how many calories are in each dish. It's about not having to measure out my cheerios in the morning.
It's a day off. And for some people, it makes it easier to be a rabid calorie-counter for the rest of the week/month.0
