Repairing your "core" after 2 kids??

So I'm doing great losing weight but man, my midsection is STUBBORN! I don't expect, in any way, to lose belly fat in an easy way, nor to tone up in an easy way. I'm at a loss as to what to do to "fix" the damage! It is certainly better than it used to be - I can sit up now without pushing myself up on my arms! However, I'm not satisfied with it yet! I have two daughters, almost 4 years apart, little to no exercise between pregnancies or after pregnancy... my youngest is now 3 1/2 and I began working out just after she turned 3. :P

I'm not looking for a "quick fix". I don't eat fast food, I don't drink soda or juice (I drink coffee or tea once a day, water the rest of the day, NONE of the fake sugar additives because I hate how they taste). I have the 30 day shred and am thinking about doing that again - perhaps I'd actually see better results this time since I'll be sticking with it + eating right!

What do YOU do to strengthen your core? Reduce the jiggle?

Well I have 2 kids... My oldest is 5 and my little one is a little over 1. And honestly I noticed my core getting stronger when I started jogging. I also did ab ripperx which is super hard but worth it! My profile picture was taken when my youngest was 5.5 months old. And I worked hard all the time. It can happen you just have to push push push!!!

And I don't know what amount you are trying to lose but I lost 35 during that 5.5 month period. Just for reference :)

I have 3 kids (7, 5 and 4) and I got tired of having to wear mom jeans to cover that up :) I've started working with a personal trainer focusing on my core (I also have a back injury). He has me doing what seems like thousands of planks and squats and deadlifts. It's been 3 weeks of going every other day for an hour, and there is definitely reduction in the jiggle. I'm hoping by a year from now it may actually be movement free :P

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Your post made me giggle :D I have been doing pushups, planks; but not squats or deadlifts (I work out at my apartment community's fitness facility and they don't have such equipment... grr).

I've been told about ab ripper x - just haven't done it yet! Thanks for the info ladies :) Your abs look AMAZING, Libby!

My kids are 3.5 and 2. Interval training worked for me, doing circuit of full body exercises and plyometrics (burpees, jumping jacks, squat jumps, tuck jumps, mountain climbers, push ups, planks, side plank dips, lunges, etc).
