Work out and Weigh in, or Weigh in and Work out?

I am in a weight challenge with some of my friends for mutual motivation. Every week we meet and weigh in, and I usually power walk over to our meeting spot with the dog, which is about 45 min of solid effort. It seems logical that I would weigh less after the walk than before (losing sweat and whatnot), but this is just a thought I made up in my mind.
So, in the purely competitive interest of being the biggest loser and beating my friends every week, I'm just wondering if one would have better results on the scale if one works out BEFORE or AFTER one's weigh in? Perhaps I should be walking home instead?
