I've never posted an image before so I hope it works!

All my tattoos are extremely meaningful to me, and each one I waited a year before I got them to make sure I didn't want to change the design or anything :)

    Legs: madre and daddys princess.
I'm half mexican so I have always called my mother Madre. I got daddy's princess on the other leg (DONT JUDGE BEFORE YOU READ WHY!! thanks :) ) My dad and I almost died in the hospital together one year.. I had a staph infection that had turned into MRSA and attacked my immune system and it was shutting down but I over came. At the same time, my father had brain surgery from two brain annerisms being removed. He survived and is my hero :) When I lived at home, he worked the grave yard shift and would always come into mine and my sisters room just to make sure we were ok before he left for work. He would always say "daddy loves you princess" to myself and "daddy loves you babydoll" to my sister. Just to make sure he always said good bye and i love you in case anything ever happened to him at work :) I will forever be my fathers daughter and will never regret getting this tattoo :)

My shoulder is for my fathers religion of Buddhism with our last name in Japanese ( I am half Japanese, half mexican). My sisters has the same one tattooed on her arm.

My side resembles all the women in my family, but mainly my mother and her mother for their strength. My mother helped my father and raised us kids on her own while my dad worked 16+ hour days and helped him every step of the way through his brain surgeries and me in with staph (she was a wreck! her husband and daughter in the hospital both almost dying, but she held us together). and my grandmother is the strength behind our family and helping my grandfather with his alzheimers. It isn't full finished yet (the side is freakin painful to get tattooed!) But I fully believe behind every strong man, there is a strong women. In the end the tattoo will have a script that reads "I will endure, and I will overcome" :)

thanks for looking and feel free to add me !

Doesn't mean anything really. Just a tribal design. I explained sort of what I wanted and the artist did the rest. I got it as a "reward" for losing weight. I'm going to get a new one every time I hit a goal.

I don't understand the point of getting a tribal tattoo unless you're, ya know, in a tribe.

This is mine: in memory of my friend Elijah who was killed in a motorcycle accident this past June.

I have 4 tattoos, the most recent one is not finished yet! I just need to get $140 and I can finish it :P

    IMG_20120211_163507-2-1.jpg

This tattoo idea comes from a favorite novel of mine, "Slaughterhouse Five" by Kurt Vonnegut (who is a favorite author) "so it goes" is a phrase repeated 106 times throughout the novel. It is repeated when death dying and mortality occur. Even after reading the book once, the phrase stuck with me. The airplanes are WWII airplanes, which has to do with the plot in the novel. But, they also represent the death that war causes, so my tattoo pretty much shows that I am against war because of the deaths it causes, but the bomb shows a sarcastic remark by saying "so it goes" I am going to school for writing and want to be a novelist.

This tattoo is in German it says "Grandpa, Forever and always in my heart" My grandpa Rudy spoke fluent German, and I am minoring in German at my University. He is the only grandparent I ever became close to, and meant a lot to me. The dice signify his personality, he loved casinos and his lucky dice, of course number 7. I got this one last January

This was my second tattoo, I got it October 2009. It is from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, they are one of my favorite series and Tolkien is another favorite author. I am going to school for writing, and it is a reminder of my dream.

This was my first tattoo, I got it summer 2009. I am a peaceful person and I believe that peace can be possible, it just needs to be spread. I'm kind of a hippie :)
