How does exercise make you feel?

I have always heard about people feeling great after they exercise. However, I have found that after a good work out I get weepy. Its not that I am in pain, and I don't feel sad or upset. I can't help it, and I HATE this involuntary emotional response. I can have trul;y enjoyed my exercise and been smiling most of the time and about five minutes after I am done I get all teared up. Its to the point that I work out at home because if I do it in a gym and have a crying spell I will look a little nuts. Does this happen to anyone else?

That has never happened to me, but I was wondering, do you think they could be 'tears of joy'? Was there ever a time when you thought that working out was beyond your abilities? Perhaps it's an overwhelming feeling that you've accomplished something that you had thought was out of your reach? Just my thoughts. :)
  • That could be it, because sometimes I do push myself father than I thought. The interesting thing is, there is usually no real emotion and accompanies the tears. Its just odd.

Hard physical activity can release a lot of hormones. Emotional responses are usually involuntary.

As for me, I usually feel energized and capable after a workout.
