So I am a nut for documentaries, and I have Netflix to thank for that.
So I wanted to see if anybody knows of any good ones out there.

A few of my favorite health related ones are (since most of us are on here for health reasons):
Supersize Me
Food, Inc.
Killer at Large
Forks Over Knifes
Burzynski
The Gerson Miracle

I would list all my favorite non-health related documentaries, but that list would be very long.

So give me your favorites!

I really enjoyed Forks Over Knives. It is very good on showing the correlation between meat and health issues, and i found it fascinating to watch the journey's of a few people who switched over to a whole plants diet and how all their health issues just disappeared. Out of 1-10 I'd say 8? I've never been good at rating things.

I love documentaries, too. Here's some I would recommend:

    Lost Boys of Sudan
    Wetback: The Undocumented Documentary
    After Innocence
A Life Apart: Hasidism in America
    The Future of Food
    Born Into Brothels
    Crossing The Line
    39 Pounds Of Love
    Manda Bala
    The Last Days
    Fall From Grace
    Restrepo

(copied these from my Netflix history)

They are all very well done and very interesting. I hope this helps!

Netflix is the reason I started to eat vegetarian...nearly vegan. I blame Netflix! Forks Over Knives, Food Matters, and Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.... those are the three that got me thinking more about where our food comes from and just how much it affects our health.

Oh man, I love documentaries. I have so many favorites, I don't know where to start. I know I'd leave out some really good ones if I try to list them all. But yes, there are some great ones on Netflix. If it's a good enough documentary, I'll completely lose myself in it even if it's about a subject matter I had no prior interest or knowledge in.

One of my more recent favorites was Cave of Forgotten Dreams. Seeing it in 3D at the IMAX was a special treat. I'm not a huge fan of watching things in 3D, but watching this documentary that way, I felt like I was actually in the cave. It was just real neat. I noticed it on Netflix streaming, and I think it'd still be real fun and interesting to watch even on a normal tv set.

Some other good ones I noticed that were still on Netflix streaming:
    My Brother's Keeper
    Exit Through the Gift Shop
    I Like Killing Flies
    Vernon, Florida
    Mr. Death
Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father
    Special When Lit
    The Rock-afire Explosion
    American: The Bill Hicks Story
Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson
    Young@Heart

... yeah, I'll probably have to come back and add more to this list later. There are still a lot of good ones on there.
