Fellow Standing Workers, How are your feet?
Hello all! I have been on MFP for eight months and I've lost about 40lbs! Feeling good but I'm still wearing the same work shoes since before MFP. I'm starting to notice that my shoes really seem TOO BIG! Do you lose weight in your feet also?! I have been wearing size ten since my second child and it's really feeling to large right now.
While pondering the shoe thing I got to thinking about my job of standing all day, grooming dogs, and about all the things I've been doing for the last few years to stay confortable all day on my feet. All the things I been doing to combat being about 60 lbs overweight and squashing my poor feet and legs. Ideal Feet arch supports/ pads in my $120/pair Brooks shoes, expensive anti-fatigue mats under my station, extra shoes to switch out for every other day use, etc. So I started wondering about YOU and your challanges with being over weight or maybe disabled/ injured while trying to work an on-your-feet type job. What kinds of things have you done or do to stay on track with your goals of fitness and weight loss while being tired from a physical job? I have found myself exhusted from work not wanting to exercise after a long day. What kinds of tips do you have for keep the energy up?
