exhaustion, perhaps...lack of nutrtition...when was the last time you went for a run/worked them out? 3 and a half months is a long enough time for muscle to start to weaken0

I've experienced a similar situation. Once when I just took an overly long break from working out and earlier this year after recovering from an extended illness, after a break from working out.
Both times my first run felt okay. Nothing spectacular, slower on pace than I had been, but solid and comfortable. And then, both times, the second runs felt like some of the worst of my life. Like I'd never run before and that it was something I just physically couldn't do.
I have no idea why it happened either time, but I kept at it and the runs in the following days started feeling better and better again.
I'd say just take it slowly and let your body guide you as to what it's ready to start doing again. But don't let a bonked run discourage you from keeping at it.0 -
thanks everyone for the answers.. so frustrating to have to start working out all over again... i was strong once.. i will head the advice and take it easy, watch my nutrition levels and keep plugging away at it but listen to my body at the same time!!!
thanks again!0 -
Maybe it's not enough water. That's my problem, I don't drink enough.0

Could be a number of reasons. Mine have felt like that too for the last couple of weeks and then today, bang, I came down with some sort on infection on my chest, putting my bad running sessions down to that, can't wait to get some antibiotics tomorrow and get this cleared up.0
