Pulled calf muscle

I recently started running to change up my CV workout which mainly consisted of cycling. I generally ride at a 22mph pace and do anywhere from 30 to 50 miles about 3 times a week. This burns big calories, but I kind of hit a wall and wasn't losing weight...at all. Since I joined MFP about 12 days ago, I've been keeping track of my calories and that really helps. And this running program was really showing me results.
I pulled a calf muscle (minor) so I have to rest it and not aggravate it. Has anybody experienced this? What kind of cardio did you do in the meantime? It's a weird place for me to pull a muscle, but I went to the doctor and that's what she thinks it is too.
Runners...I need your input.
