New Rules of Lifting for Women for a Beginner?

I've heard a bajillion and one great things about 'New Rules of Lifting for Women' and am interested in checking it out (I haven't been able to get to a bookstore to actually look through it yet) but I have one question... Is this a book that a beginner could use? I am just now getting into weightlifting and I'm nervous it would be too much too soon. I'm willing to work hard, but I'm afraid I might have bad form (beginner) and don't want to hurt myself. Does the book talk about form? Are there pictures of the right form?
General thoughts on using it as a beginner?

There's a group you might want to check out:

There are quite a few beginners using this program, you don't have to be an expert lifter. The book explains the exercises and there are some pictures but a lot of us have found searching Youtube for videos of proper form for individual exercises to be more helpful.0 -
From the excerpts I've read (probably gonna buy it for my wife), its geared towards a beginner.0

Thanks, I'll check out the group. I'm hoping to get to a bookstore later today to check it out.0
