New Rules of Lifting for Women for a Beginner?

I've heard a bajillion and one great things about 'New Rules of Lifting for Women' and am interested in checking it out (I haven't been able to get to a bookstore to actually look through it yet) but I have one question... Is this a book that a beginner could use? I am just now getting into weightlifting and I'm nervous it would be too much too soon. I'm willing to work hard, but I'm afraid I might have bad form (beginner) and don't want to hurt myself. Does the book talk about form? Are there pictures of the right form?

General thoughts on using it as a beginner?

There's a group you might want to check out:

There are quite a few beginners using this program, you don't have to be an expert lifter. The book explains the exercises and there are some pictures but a lot of us have found searching Youtube for videos of proper form for individual exercises to be more helpful.

From the excerpts I've read (probably gonna buy it for my wife), its geared towards a beginner.

Thanks, I'll check out the group. I'm hoping to get to a bookstore later today to check it out.
