bump.
I would like to know this also. When I went to get mine (it's a whey and casein blend), the guy told me isolates are better for after workout recovery because they're easily absorbed by your body. Another type of protein takes a couple hours; I don't remember if it was the concentrate or not. Anyway, the one that takes hours to absorb is good for every day protein increase, especially at night, because I guess that's when your body processes a lot of it.
I dont know if this helps, but yea...that's what they told me.0 -
The difference basically comes down toisolate is more pure 90-95% by weight, has less lactose. less fat.
But I don't think it makes a significant difference. If you are using a high end concentrate. I use "ON 100% whey" for instance and it is 89% protien by weight.0 -

Casein is the other main protien in milk and what makes it a slower ingestion proccess. It also has more lactose and fat.
If you eat a protien inriched dinner (say 40=50g) it will take your body like ten hours to proccess it. I usually have a whey shake when I wake up and after I exercise but, nothing before I go to bed.. Everyone is different sooo...0
