Is it something I am eating?

Please someone give me advice! I am 5"3 and 128 lbs and have an athletic build. However, I have a problem. No matter what I do, my stomach is consistently bloated and I can't get away from it! When I was in high school I have IBS problems but since then (5 years ago) I rarely have stomach issues. In the morning I am not bloated but as soon as I eat something, I can stick my stomach out so far that I can look pregnant and it looks awkward on my body, something is totally wrong here. I am currently trying to eliminate wheat from my diet to see if I have a gluten sensitivity that could cause my bloating, I am just trying to eliminate anything at this point. Someone please give me insight. P.s. I am very particular at my sodium intake, I am aware that causes bloating.

I'm gluten free, and it does cause awful bloating. my daughter has lived with IBS symptoms all her life, and when I had to learn about gluten,we thought we'd check it out with her too, and sure enough, it's what causes her problems, and bloating is her biggest complaint. I think that's definitely a good choice for you to try, if it's not that then try dairy.

My sister has this very severely. She is 5'2 and about 110 lbs, and her stomach bloats out and she has extreme burping and other uncomfortable GI symptoms. She just had an endoscopy last week and is awaiting the results but they think it's celiac disease. It sounds like you may have a sensitivity (probably not as severe) to gluten. I'd definitely cut it out to see. If you can, maybe see a doctor. ( I don't have health insurance, so I know that's not always possible for everyone)

Have you talked to your gyn about it? I know that people with fibroids and such often look preggo when they are not.
